If you’re interested in paddling the White Oak or New Rivers, or any of their tributaries, you’ve come to the right place. We enjoy paddling as much as anyone, which is one reason we are passionate about protecting our rivers.
The White Oak River starts in Jones County in the Hofmann Forest and winds it’s way to the Atlantic Ocean between Onslow and Carteret Counties. It’s course is 48 miles long and it drains some 12,000 acres of estuaries. Check out our Paddling the White Oak River page.
The New River starts and ends in Onslow County. It begins up by Richlands and runs past Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune.
